To celebrate Seaweek we offered a competition to promotie marine conservation the backyard!
The criteria was:
1. how to get to your local marine reserve, protected area or proposed protected area
2. marine reserve rules - no fishing of any kind and no removal of anything - completely no take
3. cover off some safety information- such as snorkelling with a dive buddy (staying close at all times and being alert to any hazards for example )
4. the kind of marine life that is in the reserve/protected area or proposed site and why the site needs you support!
This is one of our winning entries - this class will recieve a EMR/seaweek goodie pack
