When you explore beneath the surface of Taputeranga Marine Reserve, you’ll be treated to the magical underworld that has been allowed to flourish. If you’re lucky you might even spot an octopus.
Beginner snorkelers are encouraged (but you must be able to swim). Wetsuits, snorkels, flippers, experienced guides and safety gear are provided.
COVID 19 INFORMATION
- Vaccination passes for all those aged 12 years 3 months and over will be required for this event.
- Please bring your QR code for My Vaccine Pass on your phone or printed to be scanned & verified at the event. You will need to bring photo ID.
- Distancing and face coverings required where practical.
-Under the Red Traffic Light system there will be limits on the number of people in the event space at one time, with a maximum of 40 snorkelers per hour

What to bring: Vaccine pass, photo ID, Togs, towel, sunhat, camera, warm clothes, snacks, a mask to wear out of the water.
Please note the minimum age is 8 years, and children below 16 must be accompanied by a snorkelling adult. Vaccination passes required for all snorkelers and observers 12 years 3 months and over.
