When: POSTPONED to Sunday 3rd April 2022
Ferry leaves from Auckland CBD ferry building at 8.30am
You need to arrive at the ferry building by 8.00am at the latest.
What: Snorkelling at Administration Bay, walks around the new planting, flying fox rides and sausage sizzle on the beach.
Where: Motutapu Island, ferry is arriving at Home Bay and leaving from the Auckland viaduct.
Parking: Limited in Auckland CBD - We recommend catching public transport.
What to bring: Togs, towel, sunhat, warm clothes, raincoat, water bottles, walking shoes, and a picnic lunch.
Please note that there will be a ~45min walk to get from the ferry at Home Bay to the snorkel site. Reasonable level of fitness required. Suitable for children aged 5 and above, however please note this is a very long day.

Please note that the ferry ticket is non-refundable - and the trip will run rain or shine! Our snorkel location will be Administration Bay or Home Bay – Dependent on the weather. If you are late and miss the ferry unfortunately there are no refunds.
Experiencing Marine Reserves runs a series of free and subsidised events over the summer months - we rely on your support to make them happen. We appreciate donations, either cash/eftpos on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event.
COVID-19 Information
We can't wait to reconnect with you all and to help kiwis explore our big blue backyard. EMR has always strived to be as inclusive as possible with all our events, however we are in unprecedented times, which means the safety of our crew, volunteers and participants is paramount. Vaccination certificates for all those ages 12 years 3 months and over will be required for all* public events in the COVID Traffic Light framework for the summer of 2021/22 (*unless specified otherwise). Participants/volunteers under 12 years of age will need to be accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent or guardian. All participants/volunteers will need to use face coverings and distance where practical. Please bring the QR code for My Vaccine Pass on your phone or printed to be scanned & verified on the event. You will need to bring photo ID. Some events may require your vaccination status to be verified prior to registration.
