Explore the coastline of the Tāwharanui Regional Park with experienced kayak guides; you never know what you might spot? Sea conditions permitting. Postponements via email, on website and facebook page.
 
This event is funded by The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation, Auckland Unlimited and is run in partnership with Whitebait Connection, Para Kore Ki Tāmaki and Tāwharanui Open Sanctuary Society.
 
Children younger than 13 will not be able to participate in the kayaking. Children aged 13 - 15 need to have a confident adult in the back of their kayak. All participants must have previous experience kayaking in order to register.
 
When: Saturday 2nd July, 10am - 2.00pm
 
Rotation 1:
10.00 - 12.00 Guided kayak
12.00 - 1.00 Guided walk
Rotation 2:
11.00 - 12.00 Guided walk
12.00 - 2.00 Guided kayak
 
 
Please arrive at least 15mins prior and check in at the tent. If you are running late please call/txt 021 0645125. Numbers limited to 32 – split into two rotations

Please note this is a no dog area

Please note that the maximum weight for the sea kayaks is 120kg per person.
 
Experiencing Marine Reserves runs a series of free and subsidised events throughout the year - we rely on your support to make them happen. We appreciate donations, either cash/eftpos on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event.
 
COVID information
We encourage masks to be worn during briefings and whilst interacting with land based stalls and activities. Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities will be available. Please do not attend this event if you are unwell or isolating.
