Join us for our community snorkel day at Whangaumu Bay on the Tutukaka Coast. Experience and learn all about water safety and the amazing marine life from experienced guides.

All equipment (mask, snorkel, fins & wetsuit) will be freely available or bring your own! Fun for the whole whānau, children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult beach observer. Experienced guides and water safety procedures will be in place on the day.

Start time: 10am

End time: 3pm

Location: Whangaumu (Wellington's) Bay.

The EMR tent will be set up at the Eastern end of the beach, past the public toilets next to the boat ramp. If the weather is unfavourable our back up locaiton will be at Kowharewa Bay (1km back down the same road). If we are unable to run the event our back up date will be 1st of April.

Experiencing Marine Reserves runs a series of free and subsidised events throughout the year - we rely on your support to make them happen. We appreciate donations, either cash/eftpos on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event.
